Heavy Clutch??? is this the norm for a Rex

i find that my clutch is really stiff

is this a general traght with the TRX?

ive been told that ducati riders pull apart there clutch and remove a couple of clutch springs to make it more looser

or do i just a stiff clutch and should stop complaining

:shock: Ride a Laverda, and then you'll know what a stiff clutch is! :twisted: That's what I love about the TRX, nothing is an effort.
My clutch is a lot less stiff, than other bikes I've ridden or owned.

Owned a Laverda for 15 years. When I was heading to the city, I used to unzip the zipper on the left hand sleeve of my jacket. If I didn't, the Forearm pump used to cut off the circulation in my arm and I'd get pins and needles from the lack circulation.

The TRX clutch is relatively light. Check the clutch cable routing to see that there is no kinking or sharp bends in the cable, or check that it is suitably lubed.

I had trouble with the front brake whereby it would feel wooden at times yet a other times not. I checked the disc pads but found that the trouble was the pivot pin on the brake lever, :idea: which needed a lube as it was dry and grabbing, :( so I lubed the clutch lever as well and found that it also appeared dry. :idea: :wink:
( thats a lot of explanation for a simple reply eh}

i was gonna suggest that the clutch cable is prolly dirty as hell.. If the cable has grit in it, it seems very stiff and "non responsive", like.. you find it hard to "feel" whats going on..

Get some WD40, take the cable off, clean the inner, spray a huge ammount down the outter, till it comes out clean and not dirty looking,, replace, you should feel an instant improvement.. Also check the lever while your at it.. it should drop very freely under its own weight..

goodluck and tell us how you go.
