Happy New Year

With the new year upon us I'd like to extend my thanks and gratitude to those long term members who still frequent these forums and help out the newcomers who continue to find these forums and ask about our great love*, the TRX850.
While the TRX850 is well past its prime, even past its renaissance as a base for a cafe racer, and the forums are much quieter than a decade (or two) ago, we still get new members approx once a week.
Maybe this year will be the year that Jak returns and we can finally fix the server issues that currently leave the forums broken and barely working.**

* I do still love my TRX's but I rarely ride them as I have bought an XSR900 GP. Thirty years of bike development certainly shows.
** I'm not holding out much hope of this happening.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to everyone still out there reading this forum! I see a lot of people never came back after the long bout of downtime but maybe, like me, they are still reading, just not posting because there's nothing to post about.

I'll be more active this year because mine's broken and I may need some help, or at least some sympathetic ears. Hopefully there are still a few UK people lurking in the shadows able to give hints about good places to get a rebore or valves reground/seats repaired, I don't know what I'm up against yet :shock:

Hi all (who are left)!

A happy new year to you also from me!

@dicky:
Thanks to you for being the gatekeeper and caretaker here =D> - and without you it would be much lonelier. :?

@Snod Blatter:
Good to read that you're still around, but not so good to read that your TRX needs some drastic work ...
Hope you'll get it fixed soon!

"Also still lurking around this place" - greets from Munich!

A Happy New Year to you all! I have to look inside Trixie this spring as off road since autumn Have a feeling it might be the inlet valves at last but who knows Have always hoped a previous owner replaced them! This bike is so much fun it has to be fixed no matter what cost
Happy days
Speedy

Yes, Happy New Year to you all from sunny (and hot) Western Australia.

We're still waving the TRX flag down here with about 6 or 7 of us catching up on a semi-regular basis - Big Al TC & myself are the only original members from on here but the new boys are super keen too.

With our weather at this time of year we can pretty much plan a ride weeks in advance knowing that it'll still be nice & fine. :D

Incidentally Dicky, Jak is still doing the TRX Forum Quiz every day on here (in the Daily Chat section) so maybe try & contact her through here?

Cheers, Andy (pbear62)
