Has anyone ever experimented with adding a 1 into 2 intake manifold and a single carburetor to the TDM/TRX 850?
Have you ever heard on anyone attempting this? If so, what were the results?

A lot of work for nil gain really...... However, the early TDM850 mk1 had a 360 degree crank, so in theory would have been suitable for a single carb. Yamaha gave it twin carbs as [sports] motorcycles are designed for performance not economy. The TRX850 engine is 270 degrees, the twin carb set up works well and is easy enough to maintain.
