It will show wrong speed, the TDM part will likely fit but is made for an 18 inch wheel not 17 so the gearing inside is likely different. (a search shows TDM sensor used on other bikes with 18 wheel, the TRX part is shared over other bikes with smaller wheel.)

This is the TRX one: https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/en/ ... m251902000

From JPE's link: Price: AUD 146.81 excl. VAT
From the AUS Yamaha parts network: $115.55 inc GST
Cheaper to buy the genuine part direct from Yamaha.
Still expensive though.

Or fit a GPS speedo into the trx dash for $80.
Face size is the same and just need to chop a little material from the rear ( where the cable used to go ) to fit the encased GPS unit.
All is hidden behind the facia and rubber top flap.
Another option to think about if you have a restricted JDM model TRX.

I think I still have one kicking up dust somewhere, but shipping could be steeper than getting a new one.

Yes I know the one. Rod has one but never fitted it and I’m sure there’s a good reason why he didn’t.
