I hope they upgraded the suspension, the stock MT is shit.
The MT07 doesn’t have an UPSD fork so I guess they did.
The swingarm looks kinda the same though.

Easily... You’ll get away with using the std rods too. Balance factor is not an issue as the Arias pistons are 5 grams lighter than std . With a nice flat torque curve around 100Nm on tap from 4000 to 7500rpm there is no need to over rev the motor past 8000rpm because changing gear puts you right back in the middle of your torque curve. Reving the motor over redline that’s when it stretches the bottom caps on the std rods and you start to loose oil pressure. $1500 gets you 4 pistons from CP Carrillo as they now own Arias pistons. Sell off the other 2 pistons to recoup half your money. Depending what you want from your motor you have options on camshaft so factor in another $600-$1000.
Budget $1000 for porting and about $1000 if you choose oversize valves.
So You have
$750 pistons
$750 camshafts
$1000 head work
$1500 extras ( flatslides and headers )

Find some Thunderace forks and trees ( 48mm RSU forks )
and rebuild to suit $600
Rebuild the rear shock $500
Either spend extra money on the
motor or R6 5 spoke wheels modded $1000

There is your $6000

You can also brace the std 41mm forks and fit emulators for around $600

Hi cobba, all the mods sound good to get some more power, for those of us without the skill or tools to do the work what would the total cost be,also have to think of what the TRX owes you as well.

Hmm. Very tempting. Very tempting indeed. Because to be honest, I love the TRX, the ergos, the look and the noise. Just needs a firecracker up its arse sometimes. Would you consider building my engine for $$$$?

Don’t fit the R6 wheels and use that to get someone to rebuild the motor for you. The front end and rear shock are simple tasks with only a few ring spanners or sockets needed.

What mine cost me was 2 10ths of bugger all because the 4 or 5 items that I would sell would pay for the item I kept.
So you can invest your $6000 in buying pistons , sell them all apart from 2 and put $50 extra on each pair of pistons so when sold you have you $6000 back plus a pair of pistons.
The pair I kept I had modified for maximum weight loss so 30grams less than std weight and customise to your liking.
Took me a few yrs to build my TRX but I reaped the rewards of my effort and helped a lot of other TRX owners to access cheap parts ... what goes around comes around as they say..

I can give you the links to gather the parts as a starting point.

KTM’s 890 motor has found its way into the new track only RC 8C,surely it’s the stepping stone to a road going version.

100 units worldwide sold out in 4 minutes 32 seconds, the parallel twin is indeed becoming a class of its own in terms of combining power delivery and handling agility.
