Yamaha TRX850 Enthusiasts Forum

Gday am new to this forum.
Although I don't own a TRX ,I own a Laverda but that's a story for another time.My son Jak however does. He bought an 850 about two months ago and was having a blast on it up until last weekend . We were on our way back from Bellingen about halfway between Ebor and Grafton when it seems like it has done some extreme damage to the bottom end . From the horrible noises it is making the motor is toast.So does anybody on this forum have an engine to suit or know where we can obtain one.
The TRX are great bikes and it would be a shame to lose another one to the reckers. Hope someone can help.

I was out for a walk and you had a mate with you and a fella pulled up on a Harley who had just moved to Sandstone point.
Just sold off the 2 spare motors I had but
I’ve got a good crank if need be for $500.

Yea G'day Brian ,yea that was me I think we need more than the crank as it was making some very serious noises . Will keep in mind though ,would the person you sold the engines to maybe be interested in selling one?
