Engine dies.

Post by bikefiddler8 » Mon Jul 08, 2019 8:54 am

Hi,

Can anyone help ?
I've had my TRX for 14 years and had few problems but it recently started running badly at low speeds .
So i stripped and cleaned the carbs ( found a blocked pilot jet) and fitted new seals and o-rings which seems to have solved the issue but now the throttle dies when i rev to about 3500 rpm.
It's never happened before , any idea what i've done ?

Thanks.

Hi bikefiddler8!

My guess is a "folded" (and thus narrowed) vacuum hose to the fuel tap or fuel hose.

Or something completely different ...

Hi Holer,
Thanks.
I think it is something like that , the engine will run with the choke so i'm thinking too much air as in a leak somewhere or the fuel is restricted.
It's just finding it.

Cheers.
