Not happy tuesday

I had a small accident this week. A car in front of me, came sooner to standstill than I anticipated.
Damage is not too bad, only the fairing itself and its subframe. The headlight, forks, mirror, indicatorlight etc. all is undamaged. I kept the bike and myself upright and that helps too.
Sigh.

Lucky it was a750 front end Robert, If it was an R6 front end it would have bent forks and damaged wheel.
Loosen all the motor /frame bolts and forks to unload all the stress and let it settle then tighten them back up again too after such a hit.

Sorry you got me wrong, the front wheel or fork did not hit anything!
It was with the front right side of the bike against the left rear side of the car.
It was with very low speed as I was already braking in order to stop (at some point and time...

)
Luckily my DIY LED headlight remained harmless.

That makes sense now, I thought you where hard on the brakes and it's pivoted forward when the front wheel hit and smashed the fairing into the car with the rear up in the air.
Fairing sub frame mount on the frame headstock is pretty flimsy and prone to bending and cracking.

Well your version would have looked more spectacular.
What I did was more like... being clumsy.

Go with Cobba's version, for all we know you could have been wrestling an alligator whilst trying to diffuse a bomb.

Tarwetijger, where did you get the brackets for your exhaust?
I'd love to replace the footpegs with something similar (the wife ain't never going on the back of it, trust me)

They came with the OVER bike I bought last year, so I don't know the source.
They do look nice don't they
Projection Components sold exhaust hangers for the TRX, but I don't see them listed on the site anymore (which is strange, as other models are still available).

I got in contact with Michaela at Projection Components, and - as luck would have it - they are currently in the process of machining a batch of exhaust hangers for the TRX. Forty of your English pounds (minus a bit of Forum love

) will see a set on your bike.
I'll post up some photos once I've got them on.
