Gearbox ?

Post by Nobbynumbnuts » Sat Feb 11, 2017 1:54 pm

After getting down to the gearbox , it would seem that the dogs for 2nd are knackerd. Some of the others don't look brilliant either
So , lots of questions.
Has anyone got a good set for sale ?
Does a Tdm box go straight in ?
Are there companies that make replacements ?
Should I give up and have a good cry ?
Any suggestions welcome.

TDM box is a straight fit, did it when 3Rd went West on mine, big strip down to do it, engine out and is a total tear down

I just remembered, I gave a whole bottom end to Jak, our leader here. Can't remember who got it from her though, most likely sitting in a shed somewhere. :D
Cheers,
Alan.

Hi,
Did you manage to sort this or are you still looking for the dogs? I have more or less a complete gearbox in bit so may have them.

3 different TDM 850 boxes, mark1 91 - 95, mark2, '96 - '99 and mark2A 99 - 2001 - all different ratios and none with as high a 1st gear as the TRX. The closest ratio TDM box is the 2A. They should all fit in the TRX cases though
1996 TRX 850, blue, Ohlins 46HRCLS, Race Tech Gold Valves, 0.90 springs, Venom pipes, R6 brakes............
1974 Yamaha RD250A, Candy Blue
1998 Yamaha SZR660, blue of course
1967 Yamaha TD1C 250, Blue and white
