Alternator stator coil resistance

Hi
Ive got 7 ohms across each white, time for a new Stator????
Reg/Rec gets surprisingly hot as well


TRX models .............................................................................................. 0.22 to 0.32 ohms @ 20°C

Multimeters, unless really high end professional models, will give wildly inaccurate readings at such low resistances. Did you touch the multimeter leads together and see what reading you got with a known short circuit. This reading should be subtracted from the reading you get across the stator coil. It would be very unlikely for the resistance of the coils to go high resistance by the same amount. The stator wiring plug must be disconnected to take the reading,
