Hi I have been offered a maxis 120 70 17 tyre the std fit is 60 section will it ride ok with a taller profile tyre... My mate bought it for his thunder ace but never fitted it ..
IF only one bike was enough.......................(still room for another one)

It will probably feel better than the std 60 profile tyre.
I've currently got a 60 on one bike and a 70 on the other, and the 70 definitely feels better to me.
Almost all new bikes run 70 profile. The 60's were a bit of a Japan market fad and they feel like they tip over when cornering.
Your speedo will read approx 3% low with the 70, so take care near speed cameras.

Thanks I will give it a try , I am going on a tour to France this summer so new rubber is needed.will post some pics when I get back .
