What does every 50 year old bloke want?
18 year old twins!
The one on the right arrived at my place this morning, picked her up in Tassie yesterday.
I have a few things planned for her...

It was shortly after I took this pic that I realised I had a rear puncture.

The full Akra system came from Cobba, the R1 front end came from Curmi.
I'll be putting these on the new bike and returning this one pretty much to stock expect for R6 brakes and modded front forks.
I've owned this bike since May 1996 and I don't ever want to lose it.

The new bike is pretty much stock except for Delkevic mufflers (already removed) and JE878 big bore kit.
It's not very pretty compared to my original bike, quite a few marks and scratches.
The fairing bracket is a bit bent and the double bubble screen is shit.
I rode it for approx 200km yesterday before getting on the ferry back to Melbourne.
Standard brakes in the Tasmanian Twisties, what was I thinking!

Took my unmolested blue Rex its once a month round the block on Sunday.
Like riding a big blue soft pillow that was too quiet and wouldn't stop.
To have to ride the origional version is like having to go to church with my mother.
Hi Mom !

My current plan* is for two road bikes.
One with lots of mods, one basically stock.
* all plans subject to change without notice.

Don't you just hate it when you spend some money that you shouldn't, on something that you don't need, only to find the same thing on sale the next week in better condition and at an equally good price.
Bugger.
Never keep web searching after you think you have a bargain.
