My original speedo dropped it's guts made a terrible clicking noise and the needle is stuck on 240kmh.
I have purchased a second hand speedo with around the same km and have noticed it has 2 wires comming out of the oil light I think where as the original had nothing. Wondering if anyone has had any dealings with this problem. Also I take it I need to take off the fuel tank and air box to get at the electrical terminal blocks.

Might be worth a search but I think the Japan Home market KPH clocks had a 180 kph electronic limiter

They did indeed, this `may` be what is fitted to that speedometer, I`ve never seen one so can`t be certain.

Were you going down a hill to get it to 240? Mine only goes to about 225 Owned it since new, might wind up to 230 if the road was long enough.
