Selling up

Post by Mayhem » Sat Aug 08, 2015 1:11 am

Unfortunately it has come the time to put my bike on the market. I don't use it anymore and can't justify spending the money on it to sit in the garage. I live in Perth so will be posting it online on Gumtree or something similar. Need advice on the following:

1) What are they going for at the moment. I want to get a good price but want it sold promptly.
2) Best site to use. I have used Gumtree before and happy but bikesales.com or similar might be a better hunting ground. let me know.
3) I have been advised not to have people come to the house to look at it. apparently sharp thieves case out your place and work out how to steel the bike later. Something I need to be concerned about?

The bike is '95 (i think) and has done 52,000km. Body work in average condition but new battery and tyres. Everything else quite neat and tidy.

Looking forward to hearing opinions.
