Finally got her out on the road today, after one previous 50 mile ride when I bought it and then straight in the garage for new blue spot brakes, wheels, discs, R6 shock, bearings, linkages, braided lines etc. Wow, really enjoyed it. Much easier to pootle around on than my Firestorm, and it sounds even better, despite (or because of?) the misfiring from the Gibson cans. Problem with having the rear sorted is it shows up the front end......the Metzeler Z6 tyres need proper scrubbing in yet but so far they feel pretty good. It has a 16 tooth front sprocket and goes really well when you grab a fistful. Chuffed Running a bit rich so carbs off over this winter, just going to enjoy riding it for now.

Re: Missed This...
Hi, bit of a newbie here but actually on my 3rd TRX!
Just wondering, I'm looking to upgrade my brake calipers to blue spots:
1.Do I need ones from a specific model?
2.Do I also need to consider a new master cylinder?
3.Is there anything I should be wary of considering this upgrade?
Grateful for your feedback,
Alex

You can use, blue, silver and gold spot Yamaha calipers as long as they`re pre-radial types. They fit straight on and work best if matched to the master cylinder of the bike they were liberated from (R1 or R6).
