It will be interesting to see how this one sells. I noticed a couple more above $5000.

Things maybe moving, be interesting to see what they actually sell for. :D

Cheers Paul.

There has been prices like these on TRX's for a number of years and with the boys coming back cashed up from 2 weeks on a mine site , hang in long enough and someone will buy on impulse.
Around Gladstone the price for Harley services are 2-3 times what you would pay here in Brisbane. Just because the cashed up cowboys coming in for a few days.

I know if someone waved the right amount under my nose I'd sell my trx too, but it would be double+ on the twigg.

Wheels and discs/brakes alone cost the price of the twigg

I was going to buy back in for another project , but price is keeping me away.

Yes saw that only last nite Kim and thought it might have been your old Trx.
I was having a chuckle myself and thought about saying just the same thing..
He's dreaming.
There was a great Trx on gumtree only the other month with a thundercat front end , Akra pipes, and little k's being a Japanese import. He had $3200 and it sat for a few mths with no takers.
Another local lad just picked on up for $1800 too.

I had a look around before i bought mine and anything under $4000 is a dogs box and would need to spend a couple of grand to make it all nice and pretty again. I bought mine for a guy out near Kingaroy in really good shape for $4500 in pretty close to original condition. Well to my eye it is.

Have to be in the same mind set..a good unmolested REX that is still with the origional paterna will be the something to turn heads at a bike display.
Interesting to see the turn around..

I see a lot of cafe racers on Bike Sales, E-bay, Gumtree. Yeah they look nice and going for $5500 upwards, but i think original is still better.

Had mine for sale at $5500 with $6k in aftermarket parts on it and got no interest.

Ended up stripping it for parts as that looks to return about $6.5k by selling the goodies at reduced prices to get them moved.

Yes pretty ridiculous some of the prices people are asking for their cafes.
Plenty of bargains out there for $2,500 onwards to $3,500.
There is a nice one for sale at present on Gumtree with an Akra system and few other extras, T,cat forks and prog Ignition.
Smart move Grant, separating the bike and selling the tasty bits to recoup your cash.

I saw that one on Gumtree. Would be a good buy. My mate is looking for a bike and while he wants a Speed Triple he can only afford a few thousand. He's had a VTR before but is keen to ride mine when I get it back on the road in a couple of weeks.

There is another local for $2500 that sounds like a bargain and good history.
Ridden by old grand dad to church on Sundays every now n then for the last 6 yrs.
Get your mate onto that one as it won't last long.

Paid £910 for mine from an auction with 1900 miles on it it in original condition (the black and red) with stickers on the tank. Spent 6 months getting it ready as it hadn't moved in about 4 years and a VW golf pulled out in front of me on maybe my 10th ride. It's now a cat c so all chances of retaining value are gone (I had to buy it back). Was going to do a custom Matt black paint job (including the tank so may re think that now) as I'll never sell it anyway. What do you think, is it still worth putting it back in original condition?
