Prices of TRX's

Post by danno » Mon Mar 30, 2015 11:22 pm

Do you reckon the price of the TRX will start to go up soon as they are becoming more rare?

They'll be collectable but not valuable. Prices peaked a few years ago, I think they'll go down slightly then plateau.

depends if the hipsters decide that mid nineties bikes are the next big thing.......that would be a disaster, but would see values skyrocket

Yes for a stock standard trx 850 in original condition.
A tank with the original stickers including beside the fuel cap are things to look for.

I took a mean-average of the asking prices on bikesales.com.au recently.
About $5100.

About $1500 overpriced. Still plenty of good bikes on offer for under $3000

The money shot.
With all the mods done these days, the low value due to wear and tear..
The values will be the originals..the cafe style..and the super modded.

Yep. Paid $2900 for mine at the price peak in very rough shape, now there's good condition stockers for that price.

Oh well.

Compliance.
The TRX tank has a wide filler opening, you could get the Super nozzle into it.
When they reached Australia the Unleaded laws had just kicked in, so rather than retrofit some kind of restrictor they simply put the stickers on.
Didn't really run much better on Super anyway
