Although some bikes (particularly Ducati SS bikes) look great with a full fairing, outside of the race track I can't see what purpose a full fairing serves. I reckon the TRX is just right: an effective half fairing to keep weather and wind blast off the rider, while the glorious engine is open both to view and to cooling air. Equally, I don't quite see the point of a bellypan. Sure, on a track day, it can catch an oil leak, but on the road it's a dirt scoop that adds weight and little else. My most recent TRX, my third, had a bellypan (which I must admit looked quite nice); but it soon came off and went on ebay.bane wrote:After 15 years of my trx wearing an "over racing" full fairing I have recently gone back to the original factory look. ... Simplify, then add lightness", as Lotus' Colin Chapman used to say!
