Re: STOLEN !!!!
Kudo's must go to Brian for tracking it down, well done Cobba.
Scott the whole scenario sucks, but at least one of the scrots got caught, which hopefully lessens the frustration somewhat.
Now, acronyms... Whats B&E?

Re: STOLEN !!!!
Ditto for me.
I have 2metre case hardened chains and locks snakeing their way up and around both my shed housed bikes.
One more at my joint parked in by my car with a disc lock.

Glad you got one bike back.sherlock wrote: I arrived home @ dawn yesterday and had Cobba on the phone by lunchtime asking me to check a link on Gumtrees (a Trading Post type site) 3 TRX's for sale, one of them mine. The Plod's had actioned a warrant by sunset recovered the bike and charged the miscreant. Unfortunately it will be 'receiving stolen property' which carries a slap on the wrist here. He will claim a mate down the pub asked him to sell it for him and that he can't remember his last name......

At least you got something back and the police did something to help.I would say how I feel about thieves here but Jak would just have to edit it out so I'll save her the trouble and let you all guess.

Re: STOLEN !!!!
Aussie Stasi are on the ball too by the look of it, the useless tossers over here wouldn`t have bothered their porcine arses to get your bike back Sherlock.
Good news anyway.

Re: STOLEN !!!!
Well, the insurance company has paid up for both bikes, the BMW was found yesterday on its side in a ditch at Jimboomba and I am waiting for a call to reclaiming the Rex. Having a few hassles with the contents due to a lack of receipts, etc., and have had a gut full of chasing quotes for replacements.
The police have been very good, VERY helpful. 3 have been charged so far.
The guy who orchestrated the theft works at All Power Steering @ Archerfield. Anybody know someone there?

Black out the windows, hide the meanest mongrel crossbred dane mastiff rotty (with plenty of food and water and ventilation) and wait for the door to open and hilarity to ensue ( making sure the right guy opens the door)
Of course i have said this all in jest and take absolutely no responsibility for someone with no brain ( not mentioning any names mince, Alex, cobba, rod...) going forth to enact said plan

Re: STOLEN !!!!
Well, the BMW has been replaced with a FJR1300 Gen2 (which I wanted but couldn't afford when I bought the Beemer), the TREK(s) have been replaced with a Bianchi (in celeste, always wanted one of them too) and the 916 will have to wait because the TRiXie is back!
The imbeciles destroyed the fairing trying to remove the indicators, that is after they cut the indicator wires instead of unplugging them!?! They removed the race number stripes off the rear panels and made a mess. Painted out the headlight and tail-light to make it a 'track bike' but otherwise it is undamaged and only travelled <100km.
The buy-back from the insurance was ok but the AUD$990 for a genuine replacement fairing was a shock......and they have none in Oz, and waiting on confirmation of stock from Japan.
So, looking for R&B '97 fairing, and a tail light lense if anyone has one tucked away?
