Hi, does anyone know what exhaust system is on the bike pictured at the top of the TRX website?

G,day Danno, it's an Over full system with shortened titanium cans. Sounds awesome, but a bit too loud for some

Yup, it's mine.If you can find one you will love it. It's a big bore system and it showed 5hp on the dyno with no other mods apart from a K&N air filter. I had the Akra system for a while as well but now i prefer the 2 into 2 look.

Danno, Finding an akra with the link bits might prove difficult. If you are in uk check out projection components run by kayla on here, thay do a nice big bore 2-1 system.

Has anyone done the comparison between the akrapovic 2-1 and Kaylas set? Silver.Silver wrote:Danno, Finding an akra with the link bits might prove difficult. If you are in uk check out projection components run by kayla on here, thay do a nice big bore 2-1 system.
Can't seem to see one on our search
Looking that I'm about to come by one real soon. (Kaylas (over)system).

Re: Pictured TRX above
The Akra gave more midrange and the motor felt "tighter" The over system gives more top end .Hard to do a real comparison because alot of other changes went on in that period. FCRs and the Over ignitor being just 2 that i can think of. In the end it came down to asthetics though. A 2 into 2 just looks better imho.

Re: Pictured TRX above
Alex, i havent got either. Mine is a home made big bore by someone else.2-2. would be interesting to have a comparison though. I did consider buying an akra tapered set but it only came withhthe headers and would have needed a y piece fabricating, so didnt persue it.

Re: Pictured TRX above
Hi Danno
Where are you?
I have a pair of tiny very loud cans you could buy to give you the same look.
I bought them brand new from SP Engineering a couple of years ago but only used them for a summer before I got a 2-1 system.
They have std 50mm inlets so will fit std headers or Kayla's 2-2. They are only 300mm long and 90mm dia with a massive 60mm outlet ( i have baffle inserts). You will need link pipes to use with std headers which i don't have.
I'm crap at links and such but have a look at the thread titled 'the mongrel' and you'll see pics.
Pm me if you are interesred.
Cheers, Andy.
