Anyone had their TRX on the drag strip?
I used to do a lot of drag bike racing. I stopped when I settled down with my lass and bought a house, but I fancy doing it again.
Until I can get a bike sorted for 2014, I am going to enter the TRX in a few drag meets and see how it goes. Anyone know what time it would run? I would hope to get into the 11 seconds times.

Im not sure but
This does suggest that with a bit of weight loss ...... a pair of cans and maybe a good dyno set up and you wont be far off
Dry Weight 190 kg (419 lb)
Performance
Max Power 80.00 HP (58.4 kW) at 7500 RPM
Max Torque 84.00 Nm (61.76 ft*lbs) at 6000 RPM
Power/Weight Ratio 0.38 Hp/Kg
Top Speed -
Acceleration (dart, speedup) time
0-100 km/h 4.5 seconds
0-60 mph 4.3 seconds
1/4 mile
-
60 to 140 km/h, highest gear
-
Standing 1/4 Mile (402.336 m) - 11.8 sec/183.0 km/h

Cheers Zed, mine has open cans and has been on the dyno, its running 79bhp at the wheel, I would hope to get a time of 11.5, maybe a touch quicker

I took one of mine to a couple of run what u brung events at Santa Pod.
Only cost a tenner or so and got 4 or 5 runs.
No idea on the times, cant remember, but it were great fun.
Seem to recall the trx would piss on my mates ninja 6 up to about half way then he wouldstreak past when it revs built up!

I would imagine the trx would drive really well off the line, but with 80bhp it will struggle to go faster than 11 secs. I ran a 10.8 on a gsxr 600, which had 95bhp.
