Good idea!... However from 31st Jan 2013 the law changed in NSW. See my previous posts above. Written off pretty much now means written off so you can't register it, unless it was previously registered before that date.
All I'd recommend is that if you are considering buying something on the WOVR read all the info on the RTA website. All the information is there and is more accurate than phoning up and talking to someone! If you think you may not be able to comply with a rule stated or supply anything required then don't buy the frame or bike! These RTA inspection people are sticklers for the rules. They won't budge for any reason!
I'd honestly say don't bother. You're gonna save a lot of time, hassle and money buying something that has already been registered!

I go with cobba,s statement. I bought as a r/w/o from N.S.W and got it registered in QLD a bit of mucking around but got it done in June last year and we have single seat rego . Hope it keeps up. Congrats on getting it done. John c
