Nice bike, and looks a bit streamlined at the back somehow with the black on red. Which leads to me question. A lot seem to change the rear end, I'm thinking of doing it meself, dunno, looks a bit chubby as it is but every time I log on I see that and it gets me thinking. Anyone used a bit of imaginative paint to skinny the arse up ?

Best to Google Trx 850 / images....Nob and see what images it brings...a lot of options there
Ive seen a few imaginative styles in the years that run clever lines and such...best peruse the photos and come up with something to your direction.
You are correct to experiment with asthetic options FIRST rather than pulling out the gas axe and throwing the sporan [the kilt thing,..spell check went WHA ?]... to the wall.

Painted mat black with the top half gloss blue

Kinda made the rear look more sporty

Was a bit of an optical delusion

Saw it off and put a nicer back end on - TRX back end looks lardy, IMHO much better with R1 / R6 back end.

It's not too hard to do and improves the aesthetic no end, i went from being unconvinced about the look to allways giving the bike a second look + nobody is ever sure of what it is - adding an air of mystery to the bike.

All my personal opinion, but I never regretted the change + gives you agreat excuse to do a paint job.

I think the standard TRX bodywork is ace but a well done early R6 tail looks good too. It really needs the subframe cutting off and a new one made up to do it properly though.
