Hi all, new member. Live in Perth West Australia. Ride Norton, ironhead harley and TRX 850. Quite like the TRX .... I was toying with the idea of making a two into two exhaust, using dunstall reverse cone megaphones, both on the right side. Bit old school maybe but I am "from that era" Anyone out there done anything similar. ?? The headers on mine appear stainless but a little hard to tell.. the bike was pretty neglected when I bought it.. its had a hard life ... are the header pipes stainless as standard??
thanks all

Re: custom exhaust questions
welcome
standard headers are stainless and clean up well with a bit of elbow grease. they also restrict gas flow (big bend at head) but this is only an issue if you want more power.
nobody does a 2 into 2 (exiting same side) but should be fairly simple to cut standard pipes and fab some links
good luck

I was lookin at Kims bike the other day up here in Brissy. He has a set up just like that with both pipes on one side. There's a set of std pipes on e bay over WA at present ..good to chop and do what you want to...http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/YAMAHA-TRX85 ... 43af91e2f6
