...on Monday 7th May at Donnington park

You might have read about my 1st time here
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7879
I was trying to resist booking any more trackdays until after my week long 'Guinness challenge tour of the highlands' with 8 mates in June but i couldn't resist taking the TRX for another day out

I know the tyre pressures start lower than normal for trackdays but what would you recommend me to set them at before the day begins (cold)
Would i be close at 30f/32r ?
Ian

Dont mess about with your tyre pressures.
Yep, your tyres will get hotter on a track than the road, but not to a level where you need to monkey with the pressures.
Plus, it will make it handle unlike you're used to to start with if you drop the pressures, which could mess you up.
..... unless your names Lorenzo

Have a great time. I love Donny, done 3 or 4 trackdays on the TRX myself. Its my fave track.

I rode at Mallory last Friday and the day started out with a wet track (tho not raining) which dried out to be fine in the afternoon.
I set pressures at 30psi front and rear at the start of the day and found it handled/gripped like a dream in the wet and dry (Pilot Power rear and Supercorsa front).
I have yet to ride at Donnington but look fwd to it later this year.
Have fun mate.

Well, despite only getting 2 x dry sessions in at the begining of the day before the rain came down, me and the TRX had a load of fun on Sunday at Donnington park.
What a good track and facilities too

After doing Mallory a month ago i found donny a lot harder to 'learn' and was just getting my eye in when the rain came down so instead of steadily getting faster as the day went on we went a LOT slower until the track began drying a little near the end. It didn't slow down the racers using 'wets' much though, i was quite surprised as to how fast they could still go

Here are a few pics of us, the grey 'rainsuit' ones are after the rain
As the one and only person to go to the start line after the downpour the organiser said "i feel i should be giving you a medal for going out first" but after a lap or so a few others ventured onto the track (about 6 in total)

Good on yer! i always go out on track regardless of weather. Let us know if you do one of the evening events at Donnington. I shall be booking one, probably 29th May. Off to Blyton park tomorrow on the VFR400.
With the trx i always set the pressures at 30 PSI for both tyres.
