Hi there,

Having owned a heavily fettled gsxr1100k (now sold) and recently bought a trx in red with 16k on the clock, i felt that although the trx was nice, it was lacking in the suspension area.

so the plan as it goes:
R1 2002 front forks/yokes - now fitted
R1 2002 wheels - at the powder coaters (white finish)
R1 gold spot front brake calipers + carbon loraine pads
Good rich lines
Hyperpro progressive rear spring + jack up kit
some nice and sticky dragon corsa's.

Hopefully this will help me to embarras a few bank managers on the twisties.

If any one has other suggestions i would like to hear
All hail the HYPNO-TOAD

Hi mate, welcome aboard.

Nice to see another midlander on here: I'm just a short trip down the M69 from you!

Sounds good so far! Get some pics posted up as soon as. BUT sure you need the jack up kit? Heard mixed things abut them. Probably depends how much you can drop the R1 forks through the yolkes though as to whether it's a benefit.

Used Profile 2000 in Coventry to powdercoat my wheels, you using them?

Keep up the good work!

Dave.

hi,

Craig at calsport in birmingham is doing the conversion.
The r1 forks appear to be about 35mm shorter than standard, although every time i sat on the bike it dropped over an inch in sag.
the r1 forks will be alot stiffer.
I am looking for a yzf750 swing arm at reasonable money.
and when i get a job...redundancy
akropovic exhaust
magura master cylinder
and perhaps a gas flow
big bore
kein fcr
and may be at one poing a rossi centenary white paint job

but that appears to be a while away yet lol

damn i wish i kept some of those gsxr parts lol
All hail the HYPNO-TOAD

Thanks for the offer, i will probably be harrassing you all when the engine work starts lol

Craig is a friend so i get charged mates rates....

He was also responsible for building the NWS TRX and is pretty knowlegable re the trx.

Honk i do like the look of yours, although i will not be going that far, i already did all that to the GSXR1100k and realised i ended up with a bike that cost a fortune, was too fast for any roads (100mph in 5th gear at below 3k revs) and ended up spending more time off the road due to an addiction to modifying.

Cheers Phil
