I have no idea what it is, but it should be quicker than 4-point-odd seconds. The bike should hit 60+ in first on standard gearing easily- just pin it in first :D

to honest, I think the slow time is due to the delay in pressing the button on my sat nav, and releasing t clutch and pinning it if it was automatic program it would be lot faster

When they were released, I believe the 0-100kmh (0-62mph) was 3.8 sec

i find 0-60 on a TRX to be very slow, mainly coz of the stooopidly tall first gear
theres a set of lights on a roundabout near me

on the TDM and XTZ if i gun it i can make it through the next set on amber
the TRX doesnt make it before it turns red
TRX850 1997 - sunny day twisty toy
TDM900 2003 - commuting tool
TDM850 mk1 - scratching & touring
Z750 hardtail - project
gone but not forgotten : - XTZ750, GS500, GS125

are you sure? That's the sort of speed I would expect a standard TRX to hit over standing quarter (in 11ish seconds)

D'Oh... 1/4 mile. OOOSDC memory kicking in. ET was 11.761... slow! Did a 11.307 on a stock ZX-6 the same session. Raced a rotary engine "Pacman" Madza RX-3 and whipped it! They were claiming 9's! :D

if you went a bit fussy, such as getting a few tie-down straps. Strap your forks down as much as possible. Put the front brakes on, bounce on them, and have someone keep pulling on the tie down to make them stay there. You can do it via the triple clamps if your tricky.
Let your rear tyre down a fair bit.. in the region of 20psi. Yes its flat. But the contact patch will be HUGE.

Also set your compression, rebound and preload to stiff as a fatman (bobtrx setting. heh.. couldnt resist).

Both feet on the ground, out wide if you can, but the inside of your foot on the ground. You get good stability without much drag.

Once you pull your feet up, dont EVER put them down again.

For launch, pull yourself as high up on the tank as possible, to the point where it feels like your doing a chin up. Your arms should be fairly flexed. But still comfortable. Soon as those feet come up (within the ~10 - 15ft mark where the clutch should be all the way out). Move your ass back as far as possible when you bring your feet up. you should now be right back in the seat. Depending on the power output, you may need to stay forward to prevent too much unicycle work.

Hang on and keep bangin those gears.

A TRX should be good for 11.5, not much more in stock form. something with 90hp rwhp+ should be looking at 11 flat if they have a few extra teeth on the rear. The trap speed will be inherently faster, but the ET will be very similar. I cant see it being much faster than this. If at all. Its not a real sports bike, its just not geared / designed for it.

Hope this helps.
