I picked up the TRX this afternoon and although it has a few rusty bolt heads and the cam chain is a little ticky
everything seems ok.
it pulls nicely though the gears although it does appear to be a bit flat between 3-4000rpm when rolling on in top.
it handles well, the spec sheet i've read says it comes in at 190kg dry but it feels much lighter than other bikes i've
had that are around the same weight.
The brakes seem ok although there is a bit of delayed grabbiness at the front which i'm sure a quick strip and clean will fix. After riding 750 fours i'll have to get used to not being so lazy with the gears as i found it a little cluncky if i stayed
in top and the speed dropped below 40ish. It didnt bog down but it was much smoother when i dropped down a gear.
the riding position is pretty comfy although i think a double bubble screen will help to improve the wind protection
saying that it was gusting upto 50mph on my ride home.
It pulled easilly upto 110mph and didnt feel as though it was labouring and felt as though there was plenty more to come
without giving that buzzy eager feeling you get on some bikes.
alll in all i'm pretty happy, i could have done without the few mancky bolt heads that are dotted around it but they are easy to change.
I'll be giving it a service and replacing all the fluids over the next week or two, then i can set about getting the suspension set up correctly.
I've got some mods in mind, different bodywork, higher level pipes that'll retain the pillion footrests (any suggestions?)
blue spots, double bubble, bellypan . . . etc . . . etc but theres no rush to get started on that lot yet.
cheers

If this is your comment after your first ride on the REX, it will only get better and certainly with some technical updates
