Well, after I posted that I went back and watched the vid... The reason I mentioned it is I thought it showed how much "standard" forks work. Actually, it does... On my original .avi version. The web version just doesn't have the resolution to "really" see it.

Anyhow, here's a link (right click, save target...).

Front View

Or the crappy youtube version if you don't want to wait...

Then there's the "poser" version...

And in youtube...

as stated. the forks were WAY active... which is good.. track is obviously REALLY bumpy or somethin..

as for power.. i honestly think most TRX with FCR, zorst, filter, good oil / plugs will preform like that.. sounds rude to say.. but i didnt see anything "special".. sure its got balanced crank and nice rods / valves.. but sheesh.. prolly not worth it.

for the record, DONT EVER USE titanium valves on a road bike.. drag bike or maybe motogp.. but NEVER WSBK or road... NEVER.. go stainless... trust me.

still, faster than mine (currently, i think i can beat it.. 98ps ?? 108hp ? interesting..)

the best thing about the trx is the complete package, you can chase more and more power and upset the balance that makes the bike so easy to ride fast, I have had a bike with 140+bhp and did not realise how little of the power I was using until I got the trx, the only place that I loose out on the straights the roads in max's video are trx heaven and after riding an xjr for almost 5 years the trx's suspension is belter

on our local track, @ mallala race way (look it up if you really want) its surprising how well a TRX goes.. Its a short track thats fairly tight.. It also has one of the hardest braking corners on any race track in australia, and i THINK the southern hemisphere. Its a 220km bent straight, (locals call it "the kink) and the northern exit (turn 4) is ~30km/h depending on how brave you are.. This is where the TRX shines the best over MANY bikes.. engine brake ability plus being able to pull outta that corner with low revs in 1st gear.
Many bigger sports bikes struggle SO much with that. Its just fun to drag your ass outta a corner from there on the outside of a 600cc track bike.. funny as hell. Also, you get the hole shot to the inside of the sweeper left, so you get a good advantage there ;)

FYI: get a 850cc, sleeve / bore to 900cc. you can stroke it to 916 comfortably without interfering with anything. Obviously you need to shim your barrels up a touch, etc.. Personally i wouldnt do it mainly cos of the oil holes, they WONT be in the middle, they will be offset, and i dont know how that will effect things.. And im not prepared to find out.

Car cranks CAN do this, as they grind out a little valley for the oil to work in, but they dont rev as much as a bike.. either way.

Just do a 900/6 speed conversion! Then bore a little and hey presto!

ya can take the 900's out to 960cc as a fella i met has done just that along with carillo rods and raised compression and udder bits and pieces to make a very quick TDM 900ish.
