BOX helmets - any opinions?

Post by pbear62 » Fri Feb 28, 2014 1:12 am

Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a BOX BX1 helmet when I go over to the UK in a couple of months (these aren't avail here in Oz) & was wondering if
anyone can give me any feedback on them - wind noise, build quality etc?

I want the IOM TT colour scheme as I saw them at the TT last year but due to luggage constraints on that trip I couldn't bring one home.

They are a fairly cheap helmet (under GBP 90.00) & I know the old " if you've got a $10 head ....." saying but I'd like one anyway! (more for
the pose value than anything else!)

Anyone got any experience of these?

Cheers, Andy

Not familiar with the lid, I dont remember them from before I moved to Oz, but this website is good for looking at helmets and the Box performs well

My mate bought one,he was happy till he went fast and found the seal on the visor let the wind in.
He bought a tinted visor and that was worse........

Might be a one off and the tinted visor was not made by box .but if its not any good when you get home its wasted money..
IF only one bike was enough.......................(still room for another one)
