thought id see if it worked before i put any notes with it.
number 1 has factory 120k stamped on th side and the other pic shows the wear . it is worse than it looks but after 15 attempts that was the best i could do. the other pic is of the other needles, i tried them but i think they were dumping too much fuel in there. the other is of the box so yiou can see the label. hope this satisfies the curiosity dandy. by the by what is a fair price to pay for new emulsion tubes anyone? 8)

The new emulsion tubes are not expensive, factory pro tubes are stainless or similar, anyway they are silver.

I'm not really sure what problem we are trying to solve here? Are they the needles that are fitted to the bike or are they another set? Anyway the one on the right at least needs replacing, so does that emulsion tube. Is the miss at a particular point in the rev range, or just occasionaly anywhere? If the miss is occurring at certian points in the range then it's definitely carbs, which could mean jetting, or float height. Best advice is to follow the factory pro set up process.

gday burty. the needles are the ones in the kit but im sticking with the standard ones for the minute as ive only got standard pipes on.the tubes in the pic are silver but hard to tell with the pics. the miss was when you sit on a constant throttle ie on 60k/h but im hoping new tubes will rectify the problem. waiting for them to arrive at the dealer so i can put it back together and get riding again.nothing worse than having the rex and not being able to use it :(

I paid $64.65 each 3 years ago for genuine parts. Hope they solve your problem.

Spark plugs tell you everything you need to know about what your motor is doing

Really? Gee wiz, I could never understand what mine were trying to say.

Seriously though, that's true to a major extent. Except on two strokes when you have to look at the head and piston crown as well for detonation.

true - 2T s are a different breed

but then, a top end rebuild on a stroker is about as complicated as removing the plugs from a 4 stroke
