Post by Nitro Gary » Mon Oct 23, 2006 5:29 pm

Actually got 50 yards down the road, black fiesta on my sidr of the road, Big handful of front Bra...... Where am I..... Why is my bike on top of me and why the smell of V-Power.....Bugger.

Anyway, Fairing, front brake lever, rear brake pedal, R/H exhaust hanger, Front wheel rim, R/H exhaust, all in bin. Streetfighter on the way...

Hows your day been?

Ouch!

I hope you and your TRX are recovering soon :!:

But: Why does seemingly everybody tend to streetfighter his (poor) TRX after a crash :?:
As if the crash was not bad enough! :?

OK, the costs for a new fairing ...
Then why not go for a classic naked style like that one and save the costs for the other plastic stuff needed for the streetfighter look:

Ok, ok, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder - but just as an alternative idea ...

Street fighter, naked, classic - call it what you will - I personally think that they all look crap.

Saying that, I can admire the work that goes into them and I have to say that ^^^^^^ does look neat.

Yup, I can't see me ever putting MX bars and an Enduro headlight on my street bike (unless it was a Supermoto...). That does look much better IMHO.

A few too many blue pieces though... :P

That's what I think, too, and the mirrors ain't too beautiful either.

But (in my opinion) way nicer than any of the members of the fight club!

Ouch...
Hope U & the bike will recover soon.

For us living north of the equator, this is the worst time of the year; roads are wet and slippery, farmers everywhere, confidence is high, and the constant thought that this might be the last ride for the season...
Drive safely!!

Sorry to hear that. Hope you're OK...

If you want to go back to standard, I'm sure the M&P catalogue sell unpainted TRX fairings (or at least they used to)?

Eh? Don't agree with that at all - Duke 999 is very different to a Hayabusa to a ZZR1400 to an R6 and so on.

To me a bike without a fairing is is just like the next bike without a fairing - ie they all look the same

Okay ... enough of the sympathy crap.
Nitro ... you tw*t, fancy damaging a perfectly good TRX and putting your own bulk at risk too, at your age you should know better. Slow down !!
INHO street-fighters are rubbish and just pander to the hooligan element. Holer's "retro" is much nicer and with a half fairing and double bubble screen would be perfect.
Long live the standard TRX.
There that should have upset a few of you. Comments on a postcard please ....
(Seriously though, sorry to hear of your misfortune Gary and hope you and the 'rex are back on the road together real soon)
Rubber side down, Red side up is my preferred riding style.
