Rubber identification

Hi
When I removed my back wheel and brake to fit a new tyre, I discovered a piece of rubber 43 x 63 x 1mm under the bike ...1999 TRX850.....anyone any idea where it came from....I'm...bbbaffled

I was thinking it might be the rubber flap that sits just in front of the rear shock. But I just measured the one on mine and the dimensions are larger than that

Does it have any mounting holes?
Are you quite sure it wasn't just laying on the floor before you started?

Hi Dicky
It could have been laying there before...but I sweep the floor regularly, so I am pretty sure...it came from the TRX.....
There are no marks on it, as I thought it may have come from the rear brake....

Have a good look at these...
Swingarm
Rear Wheel
Rear Caliper
Rear Brake
I don't see anything that fits your description, so unless it fell out of the back of the chassis/fairing then I'd be guessing that it's not part of the TRX.

Get out there and thrash the rings off it.
What could possibly go wrong?
