Rubber identification

Hi

When I removed my back wheel and brake to fit a new tyre, I discovered a piece of rubber 43 x 63 x 1mm under the bike ...1999 TRX850.....anyone any idea where it came from....I'm...bbbaffled

I was thinking it might be the rubber flap that sits just in front of the rear shock. But I just measured the one on mine and the dimensions are larger than that :shock:

Does it have any mounting holes?
Are you quite sure it wasn't just laying on the floor before you started?

Hi Dicky

It could have been laying there before...but I sweep the floor regularly, so I am pretty sure...it came from the TRX.....
There are no marks on it, as I thought it may have come from the rear brake....

I don't see anything that fits your description, so unless it fell out of the back of the chassis/fairing then I'd be guessing that it's not part of the TRX.
