Isn't a ZX10 shock another option being the right length and having the correct ends so no adaptors needed.

Alex,

I pressed the bearing/bush from the bottom eye,measured up and turned a cylindrical pin with stepped reduced diameters at each end. Pressed it in the eye and welded it to prevent rotation. Side plates are 1/4" steel with holes drilled to suit the pin diameters and again fully welded to retain. Works like a charm :)

My Father always used to tell me there was no such thing as "can't" too :) .
