It is still broken :-( Handlebar Q's ?

Fixed my brake levers...
Now I have noticed a bent handlebar...
Fitting flat bars have drilled yoke and bolted some M600 riser to it.
I need longer brake lines - I hate bleeding brakes but as I am gonna have to do it I may as well buy some blues spots while I am at it.
Am I right in saying a TDM 850 clutch cable is need for wider bars?
How about throttle?
Electrics?
What will stretch - what won't?
Probably fitting Renthals or maybe flat tracker bars from US
Cheers
Mark

Mark, Its all been said on here before, do a search, I think most of the cables have been made as customs so as to fit the longer bars. Did you not like the original position of the bars, as I'm sure one of the fine people on this site would have a spare. Re the brakes, you can have braided made up to whatever length you need.

Mark, you are using a mityvac aren't you? When I put my bluespots on, it was about a 5 minute job. If you aren't, that may be the source of the hate. Or is it just the inevitable brake fluid getting everywhere?

I don't know what a mityvac is...
I have a bit of clear pipe from FOCUS and a big drum of fluid - I pump till it's bubbles no more and the fluid comes out clean.
Easy with a single disk - but a bugger with two...
Send me a link please...
Thanks

if you put a syringe on the bleed nipple and use it to suck th eold fluid/air through it makes things alot easier

If your really having trouble getting the air out, here's a link to an English mityvac store,

Just like Youngy says (though his method is cheaper and no doubt superior!)...attach your suction device to the bleed nipple and pump away. The only hard part is remembering to top up the master cylinder every 30 seconds or so. Does the job extremely quickly.

Cool thanks
Just bought some blue spots with lines from an FZS Fazer I think - figures if I have to do the lines may as well switch the brakes as well
I'll probably be fitting on Sunday - if I get any bother I'll shout you
Best

I have discovered the most god awful scuff on the tyre which may be why I fell off...
Or it may have happened when I fell off...
Looks like something evil has chewed off the side of the tread...
If it leant to the right when parked I would say it had been sitting in a pool of petrol or brake fluid and the tyre had gone rotten?
Anyway - I don't have an MOT and the tester is going to spot that so I need a new front tyre as well...
Not likely to do that before Sunday!
Gonna have to give me another few days
Cheers
