tried using heated grips + glove inserts ?
I used to use "thinsulate" camping gloves inside of normal gloves.. WOW i got warm hands.. Sure its not "thee mother land" but might be easier, and put some heated grips on ?
By heated grips i mean those sticker ones you put on your bar, then put any brand grip over the top.
I can scan in an article if you wish so you can see what i mean.

forget handguards they wont do anything for the cold. you need some muffs! put on your summer gloves and heated grips and it will be all good!

just speaking from my winter riding muffs ugly as they are do the job. the problem with hand gurads or brush guards is that there designed to brush things out of the way as much as they will deflect the wind they dont create a vacume behind them or a still pocket of air to warm up.
there will still be a gap of a few inches where cold air that been chilled even more by wind rushing over your hands taking away the heat. with muffs you don't get any of that as your hands are inside them.
ive given up on winter riding unless its a nice day, salt and cold wet days dont do it for me anymore

Muffs may be the warmer option but they look utter poo and they have your hands stuck inside them and i really dont like that idea at all tbh

Have you tried hanging your handbag in front to block the wind?
(Thankfully it doesn't get that cold down-under!)

These are my principles and if you don't like them...... I have others.
