okay im sure someone here will know most if not all of this!

brake discs for the front who has non OE and whats working well? and of course where and how much.....

Front brake lever anyone found anything shorter than OE i want somthing more stubby but dont know where to start really

Discs: I'm using PFM cast iron (albeit 320mm ones) with R1 calipers, Master cylinder and Ferrodo race pads. Loads of feel and F-F-F-Phenominal stopping power!



As for levers: I have Pazzo levers fitted to my TRX...



You need to run an R1/6 clutch lever mount and I'm running an R6 master cylinder.

well ive allready knicked the calipers off me r1 so maybe the master cylinder and the clutch mount from it aswell then some of them levers ordered i only really want a stubby basic brake lever but it seems nobody does one simply the same as OE only shorter ???

Love the look of them forks, what they from? the pfm discs look great to ive heard many good things about them over the years they arent to cheap though a quick look found them for about £480? that sound about right?

Im running a PFM big brake conversion.....320mm narrow area disks and 6 pot billet calipers feels like an rsj through the front wheel at any speed.

And Dymags too by the look of it! Is that a Thunderace?

this was the kit i got my hands on, It was advertised as a thunderace kit, in reallity its the same as the R1 kit.
I won the bidding at £350 and had only covered 2k miles. After selling on the R1 disks and calipers i had, the brake upgrade owes me £130.
unfortunatly i missed out on the dymags but im saving my pennies for some.

No, the pic shows the exact brake kit i have on the TREX. I really must get some updated pics of the REX.

It came with the FCRs....

Just curious about those wave discs - much benefit over std?

Btw, if you are going the route of R1 mc, I reckon these are absolutely sh!t hot. Obviously not OEM style though...
If you are parting out the R1 you may as well swap the clutch perch too, then you can fit an aftermarket R1 clutch/brake set with ease as there are more options. If you really wanted to keep a long clutch lever and a shorty brake, you could always purchase a long clutch and short brake lever in whatever brand (pazzo/crg/etc) you prefer. It definitely would look interesting...

Also, off topic - honk: how do you find those renthal grips? Was thinking about some, currently running "super grips", my main concern with renthals is short life (soft), and also vibration transfer to the hands (ie on long trips/commutes does this become a PITA?).
