Hi All,
Having put my trx back on the road following problems when the carbs float valves failed and flooded the engine. It now doesn't charge. I have measured the resistance between the 3 output words of the stator and nearly made the spec, however I have very low resistance from each wife with respect to earth. Measuring voltage from each output wire give 20vi on one but nothing on the other two. My questions are: will fuel contamination on the stator affect its operation. If so can the stator be repaired.
Grateful for any advice before I purchased a used stator.
Thanks Mick

..very low resistance from each wife with respect to earth..
If fuel in the oil affects the stator, well, does it matter if it's broken?
I would just buy a new one instead of getting the old one repaired.
They are widely available aftermarket. Unless you have a cheap and reliable address for rewinding the old one.
