Hi guys, it's me the new guy that has a Trx in Portugal and also a lot of doubts, because this is all new to me.

I am not really a connoisseur in this area, but I am doing my best and so I need the help of this forum that has helped me a lot.
I received this bike from a very special person for me, but unfortunately it is no longer with us, and I decided to listen to the noise of this engine in his memory again.

Right now I'm changing all the gaskets on the engine, but I'm a little confused, and sorry for the question, but is it normal to have oil inside the generator cover?

As far as I know, a small amount of oil inside the generator cover is normal.

So no worries if it's not enough to fill a longdrink glass.

I've even heard or read somewhere that sometimes people drill this cover..and that made even more confuse.

I guess this won't be my last doubt l, because I feel like an explorer on this one...everyday a new thing.

P.s: Germany...how I miss that country..hoping that this pandemic is over so I can get back.

Drilling the generator cover? I would never do that.

However, cutting the lower part thereof and welding a flat aluminium sheet to close it again in order to get a greater lean angle is a common modification for racetrack use.

A mate managed to lever him out in a left hander and crashed and I also touched ground several times there on the racetrack.

Portugal is also a very nice country - about twenty years ago I spent (only) a week there (did a round-trip) and enjoyed it very much and have very nice memories!

I feel that if at the end of this project I don’t become an expert, it’s because I failed miserably.

With the bluespots I hope you also mount the suitable master cylinder!

Just do a search here for the right size (I can't remember right now ...).

You want the 14mm master cylinder that comes standard on the bikes with blue spots calipers.
The 5/8th inch master cylinder on the TRX will work, but not as well. Best to use what the engineers specified.
You may be able to get the complete brake system: calipers, hoses, master cylinder and lever. That makes it very easy to swap.

I'm not sure what you mean.
Does your master cylinder have 7/8 on it? That would not work well at all.
The bore size is cast on the side of the cylinder, but it is hard to see when mounted on the bike as it is hidden by the bar.
Standard TRX is 5/8, as is the Japanese model with Brembo brakes, all other Yamaha bikes with blue spot calipers use 14mm.
5/8 inch is 15.8mm. 7/8 inch is 22.2mm, which is way to big for the brake system.

I went to check it now, and its 12,5 mm...I guess it won't work as good..they are pretty but look chinese stuff I don't know..I guess I'll just go looking for the 14mm on the web..

A small difference in size makes a large difference in performance.
The 5/8 inch is only 1.8mm different from 14mm, but it does not work as well.
