Front suspension

Post by Fábio Santos » Tue Feb 02, 2021 5:46 pm

Hi to all, my name is Fábio, and I'm new here.
I'm a proud owner of a Trx 850 1996,and I need some help.
I'm trying to get my bike back to life and o have a question, does the complete front suspension(even handlebar) from a TDM 850 from 1999 fits my baby?
Thanks in advanced..
I'm sorry if I look a little bit dumb but I'm doing my best with what I have.

You need the TRX steering stem moved from the TRX bottom to the TDM bottom. Legs will be very tall for the TRX so need to put them through upper yoke so cannot use TDM handlebar, it will interfer with the top of fork legs. I'm not sure if the TRX front wheel fits the TDM fork.

In that case, what would be the best solution?what model would fit perfectly?
Thanks in advanced.

Thundercat forks are a straight swap and slight upgrade,, apart from needing some wheel spacers (specs are in this forum somewhere) and either the thundercat mudguard, or some creative bracket fabrication to use the trx guard, which is what i ended up doing
