Which master cylinder have I got?

Is there an easy way of telling which master cylinder I have?
The bike has blue spots and braided lines, but the braking brings a whole new meaning to the word 'wooden'. It stops, but without any feeling whatsoever.
Ideas?

The bore size will be written into the casting of the master cylinder somewhere, quite a large font and in a circle. The stock item is 5/8.

You should have the 14mm master cylinder that is standard for all Blue/Silver/Gold R6/R1 calipers.
The 5/8 will work, but it will feel a bit wooden.

Indeed.
And therein lies my problem.
Do the 14mm Master cylinders typically come with the reservoir attached as a part of the unit (as oppose to the remote reservoir that I currently have on my TRX)? I'm currently looking at one from a 2005 FZ6.

The size of the master cylinder is on the inside ..or next to the handle bar its bolted to.
