.
Yeah, I've been thinking about trickle chargers for a while Alex.
Unfortunately, this is one situation in which the thought doesn't count! I should have acted!

Cheers,

Where can I get a solar charger for the wife?

With Lithium batteries, can you just swop them in as a direct replacement? I'm concerned about the charging requirements of the lithium battery, will the standard TRX charging circuit look after a lithium battery, or do you discharge it each time you use it then top it up from a 'lithium charger'? I know from messing around with model aeroplanes a few years back that you had to charge lithium cells properly to get the best out of them.

I will need a new battery and can't decide if its worth taking a punt on a lithium cell or stick with old faithful. Something like this, seems to good to be true:

Yes, SOME end up being fried Neil, but Shorai are excellent, never heard anyone having a problem with them:

They aint the cheapies you`ll note.

Oh and a solar charger for the little lady? Sit her in front of one of these bad boys for a few hours, turning her slowly:

Ouch,140 quid... I'll stick with old faithful and get another lead acid battery for now and lay off the pies for a while to make up the weight penalty.

Lol, my wife's idea of a 'solar charger' is two weeks in Italy.

My lady is off to Mugello for the Moto GP in June, while I have to rough it out on a 600 odd mile round trip `run` to Newquay with around 100 of my oldest friends.
