Got another problem
Temp gauge is not working - how do you check it out

You sure? It has to get bloody hot here in the UK before it needs to work. If you need to wear anything thicker than a tee shirt under your leathers then it's not hot enough for the temperature gauge to register ... if it does you more than likely have a problem.
Rubber side down, Red side up is my preferred riding style.

from memory, it's just a screw-in sensor in the radiator pipe inlet: trace the wires back from the gague. If you can unscrew it (may need to lift the tank) and then heat the sensor you've taken out (in your hand or gently with a lighter/hairdryer) it should show if it moves. Don't run the engine with the sensor plug unscrewed or it will pump out coolant.

if you earth the wire from the sender for a split second the gauge should move up but dont do it for to long as you risk damage to the gauge (do this with the ignition on) check wiring and then the sender ,,down load the Manuel from downloads ,,i went out on mine today over to Blackburn and the gauge never went higher than 65deg ...hope this helps !
