Carby Kit Problem

I bought 2 KY-0570 kits to do my carbies (don't know when they were done last).
When i went to place everything in the Slider needles were completely different to the ones installed in the carbies.
Has anyone come across this? The needles were fatter than the ones in place and only had 3 or 4 adjustable positions on top where the installed
needles had 6 positions.
Been in contact with MCSWH and it has them stummped.

The needle's you removed are non standard. They have been changed at some point. Original needle's only have 3 positions as do the ones that come in the keyster kit. The profile of original needle's is a lot closer to the keyster than the 6 position needle you have shown.

The new needle won't fit into the slider. What are my options?

I've just left the old needle in place but replaced everything else (fitted just fine) and adjusted the carbies as per setup suggested on here.

Was blowing a bit of smoke before but not any more. So I'm happy with that.

if you want to use that needle you will need to use the corresponding needle jet from the carb kit

The lower on is a factory standard needle with 6 grooves - the top one is Factory Pro

I don't get it, all the parts for the carburettor are in the kit.
Use what's in the kit ?

I had a stage 3 dynojet kit in mine w weekend i bought it. The needles were thinner than the kit ones i replaced it with. I bought the keyster kit and it all fitted just fine.

I have used the parts i can, except the needle as it won't go into the slider it's to fat.
Is it safe to just drill out the hole in the slider for the need to slide through?

Please clarify...

The Keyster needle (silver coloured) does not fit in the Keyster emulsion tube (gold coloured)?

or perhaps the Keyster needle does not fit into the hole in the bottom of the plastic slide attached to the carb diagphram?

It doesnt fit the plastic slide attached to the diagphram.

Just for info purposes I did get the 0570 kit. Is there much difference in the 0569 to the 0570 kits apart from the jet sizes? I can't see any difference in the needle types in the pics on the sellers website.

I can't help with Keyster specific questions, but the needles should all be the same diameter at the top end.
How much does it miss by? If it's only a bee's dick then you should be able to squeeze it through or ream it out to fit.
However...
The two needles you show are very different in taper.
It may be possible that the needles you have are not the correct ones.
I would have a close look at the emulsion tubes to see if there is any visible difference in the internal bore (apart from obvious wear), and use the original needle in the new tube.
The needles don't generally wear, just the tube.

I have done the keyster carb kit three times now,.. Craig's.
Once for my own and two other members carbs and didn't find any issues with the needles or the kit itself.
I still have my origional keystered carbs in the cabinet since the fcr change over.
Have you tried the needle up from under the slide for fitment size ..as Dropping it down from above into the tiny hole is a struggle sometimes.
