I use to put on the chain with the lock...buy some buns/cupcakes and go to the nearest shop where they rivet it for the coffee dippers....pwmotorsports wrote:which chain tool do you guys use ? i bought one and it fell apart first time i used it so im not looking for a crap one again but dont want to spend loads if i dont need to do so

Just a thought, but why do you need to split the chain?

Angle grinder for taking old one off. Ball pein hammer and portable vice/anvil for putting new one on. Make sure you use the spacers when you rivet the new one otherwise it will pinch up too tight.
