Scorpion race cans (round no baffles)

I've finally fitted the cans that have been sitting on the shelf for years.The problem is that despite faffing on with them for ages they are not what I would call a good fit.The bolts on the hangers sort of line up but even with the spacer fitted they are pulling quite hard on the rest of the system. I'm a tad concerned as to what this might do when the bike is bouncing around.
Has anyone had similar problem with Scorpions?

Seeing as they are not listed on the Scorpion website I can't find any info as to whether or not rejetting is needed...any ideas?
A quick blast along the road and everything appears ok I doubt I'll be popular with the neighbours though..they are rather fruity.I've seen venom db killers that supposedly fit Scorpion cans .
Anyone tried anything similar...do they work or do they just bollox things up?

I've got a factory pro needle and jet kit to fit although I'm not sure whether to fit the needles as I don't have cash for a dyno setup atm.I'm guessing that fitting the emulsion tubes and keeping the existing needles will not require a dyno session.

Any opinions are welcome

I've just done my carbs and it took several attempts but I've got mine set up pretty good and not used a rolling road. My settings are on the posts lower down in this section. Best tip...read, read, read before you do anything.

yup..lopsided seems to be a selling point with them.

I've had a quick look and it looks like it will save me some head scratching.
Were you doing plug chops?...I only ask because it's bad enough removing the plugs when the engine is cold

Yes, mines no fairing so only takes 2mins to check the plugs. I also used a set route which allowed for throttle positions to be replicated. Just got given a tip, if the signs are that its set too rich whip the air filter out and run it. If it runs better then adjust carbs accordingly. No filter will lean it out a little and far quicker than making Changes to the carbs.

my bike has what look like Scorpions they were already fitted when i bought it. When i say fitted i mean somebody had thrown them at it, all at the wrong angles, the left hand can had been gnawing away at the swingarm. After much fiddling about i have attempted to reshape the (crap) hanging straps but the left can always seems to look closer in than the right its bugging me now. I'd quite like some moto gp style megaphone style or ones that tuck in closer at the back like TLR1000 or twin pipe Tuono's
