Has anyone here tried using R1 Racing rear sets on their trx?

If so was there much messing around to make it fit or was it straight bolt on?

I'm eying off a pair at the moment but thought I would ask before I but

Check bolt spacing to subframe.
Check rear master clearance and bolt spacing.
Check swingarm clearance.
Check clearance to link pipes from pegs.
Check shift rod length and matching thread.
Check Check check lol

I would if I could, but I would be buying them from overseas so I really don't know

Well, the rearsets of a YZF750R are a straight bolt on. Even the brake pedal is the same. Only the gear lever is different to that of the original TRX. So, if you are looking for race sets, a YZF750R item might be easier to fit than one for a R1. And a shift rod is not that hard to modify or to make your own.
I 've never tried it myself since I found a LSL set, for the TRX (oh and even that was not a straight bolt on ).

I have a yzf750 rearset set from raask. ....thought the same....but they move the pegs so far back that the std swingarm would foul on the peg mounting bolts
So in a box they sit.....unless someone wants to have another go......i thought maybe if they're shimmed off the subframe they would clear......but i am very happy with kaylas plates and the OEM assemblies......not bling bling but work well......for me.....imho :-):-)

I have a 2002 R1 in my garage at the moment and I can tell you that the bolt spacing are totally different, so definitely not a straight fit.

Hang fire cos Kayla is dabbing up rear sets specifically for the TRX, they should be good !

Thanks for that, luckily I didn't end up buying them as when I went to look next they were gone

Another option is buy rearsets that are adjustable height /length and they are two piece. 1 piece is an adaptor plate to suit the pitch of your footpeg mounting holes and the rear of that plate has a series of holes and the 2nd piece the peg assembly bolts to it with various holes to allow for various positions up and back.
Make a cardboard template with the trx pitch dimension , Get a mounting plate made with the various adjustment holes as it's a simple , cheap process. There are a number of rearsets that use this same principal and pretty dammed cheap online.

CBR600F4i rearsets bolt straight up, only mod you will need to make is to the shift lever.

Brake MC is the same spacing, so it should be pretty straightforward. I've got some pics at home, I'll put them up later.

After riding the S1000RR I think my footpegs should ideally be about 30mm higher

What about the R6 ? told they are 74.5mm bolt spacing against the TRX 73mm. Anyone tried them?

& what I was thinking for a shift rod: some sort of articulated rod off the shift rod...
