To the best of my knowledge, the euro ones have stiffer springs.
1996 TRX 850, blue, Ohlins 46HRCLS, Race Tech Gold Valves, 0.90 springs, Venom pipes, R6 brakes............
1974 Yamaha RD250A, Candy Blue
1998 Yamaha SZR660, blue of course
1967 Yamaha TD1C 250, Blue and white

They certainly are soft
Do you know if they are the same length and diameter ie if a buy springs for a 96 European model will they fit

Pretty sure they are softer. Forks are same diameter etc so uk spec '96 onwards springs are ok.
You could mess with oil quantity and thickness but I would just slide in some springs first to see how it feels. Can also do this without taking forks out.
Put up a wanted post for some springs.
I have a standard uk spec pair off a bike that had done 20,000 if u are interested....
