You know the one that holds the header pipes on the bottom of the engine? 12mm bolt head, long one?
I'm 300 ks from home & I've lost mine! Anybody know the length & thread type so I can buy a new one?
There's no local Yammy dealer about, but there is a bolt shop.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Help! Exhaust header bolt
Hope this is not too late to be of help MV.
The bolt is 40mm long with M8 x 1.25mm thread.
You'll need a washer of around 16mm OD if you can't find a washer-head style bolt.
Good luck!

Use one of your other bolts on the machine ..less needed till you get home...M.V. wrote:You know the one that holds the header pipes on the bottom of the engine? 12mm bolt head, long one?

its the bolt that supports the pipes under the motor and near the starter...the end cans will support the pipes at the pilion foot pegs,...
better still ..use one of the pillion foot peg bolts..yeah?

When I got in late sat night, the l/h can was nearly falling off
I'm staying with the family in the country, so I'm not stuck per se, but I'd rather not risk losing my Leo Vince's.
Should be able to pick up the bolt tomorrow.
Failing that, I'll try Minces technique
Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated!
